🔄 Update Guide
Keeping your system up to date means faster performance, improved security, and access to new features. Updating Ultimate Repair Shop Solution is quick and safe, as long as you’re not running a customized version. 👇
📥 Step 1: Download the Latest Version
Get the latest package from your CodeCanyon Downloads.
Extract the contents of the ZIP file to your local computer.
📂 Step 2: Upload to Your Server
Use FTP or cPanel’s File Manager to upload all new files to your existing installation directory.
When prompted, allow files to be replaced/overwritten.
Do not delete:
.env file (contains config settings)
/storage and /or uploads directories (user content)
🛠 Step 3: Run the Updater
In your browser, navigate to:
https://yourdomain.com/install.php
The installer will detect your existing version.
It will bypass the fresh install steps and apply the update.
Once completed, you’ll be redirected to the home or admin dashboard.
🧹 Step 4: Clear Your Browser Cache
To see changes correctly, make sure to:
Clear your browser’s cache, cookies, and stored resources
Do a hard refresh: Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)
⚠️ Change Hint – Customized Version Warning
🚫 Using a Custom version? Please Read This Carefully!
If you’ve made custom modifications to your current installation, updating will override those changes:
All modified files will be replaced by the standard version
Your custom features will be lost
Incompatibilities between your version and the default one may result in system errors or data issues
💡 What should you do?
Avoid updating automatically if your version is customized. You should either:
✅ After the Update
Verify your settings under Settings → App Configs
Test POS, repair tracking, notifications, and cash register functions
Optionally reapply branding or UI tweaks if overwritten
